“When I was eight, one of the things I did for my siblings was cook. I received immediate gratification for not just feeding myself, but feeding y siblings as well. They looked up to me like I was their mother. Now that I am a mother, I take my responsibility very seriously. The more I teach my children the better off they will be when they are out in the world. I also want them to learn on their own, so I let them make mistakes and struggle a little bit. They’re stronger for it.”
